Zillo Wirral is a new website designed by and for Wirral’s young people. It replaces Teen Wirral and has been co-produced with Wirral Met, working with young people to find out what they want from a dedicated website and to support them to update the website regularly.
All content in the ‘newsfeed’ is being written and developers by a group of Zillo Young Reporters, who contribute articles about topics that are important to them, from mental health and youth work to film and book reviews.
The Hub is a health and wellbeing section with a wide range of topics such as online safety, counselling, alcohol & drugs and sexuality & gender. This section continues to be expanded; topics that are soon to come include smoking cessation, gambling and employability. Each section includes links to local services for young people to get help and support.
Along with the website, a new YouTube channel called Zillo TV has also been launched, which will have videos relevant to young people e.g. men’s health.
The website also has an Events section which will be updated regularly, so get in touch with them if you run young people’s events and want to spread the word!
