The Trans & Non-Binary Counselling Support Service (TSS)
TSS is a free counselling service which provides support for gender variant people who are 18 years old and live on the Wirral and was launched in January 2022.
The service is available due to the work of ‘Cheshire & Merseyside Adult Gender Identity Collaborative (otherwise known as CMAGIC). It provides access to experienced counsellors, accessed for one hour appointments, conducted online. Everyone is entitled to four sessions with the ability to increase that to six if needed.
Since launch, the service has supported many clients who want to talk about a range of issues including both social and medical transition that they may be considering, or they may have started. The service recognises that people will want different things from their counselling sessions and their counsellors will be there to help clients as they travel along their own unique journey.
Self-referral can be made via the website at: https://www.cmagic.org.uk/counselling/ following completion of an online form.
