There is a new local substance misuse link service that is now available from the Wirral Multicultural Organisation (WMO) to support people from ethnic minority backgrounds and including, family, friends and carers who may be living or working in Wirral. The aim of the new service is to help people to access drugs and alcohol prevention, treatment and recovery services and to reduce the harms associated with drugs and alcohol misuse in the community.
The service can also be accessed by either phoning 0151 792 5116 or by emailing EM-SM-Service@wmo.org.uk. Please direct all referrals or general enquiries for the attention of the substance misuse link worker. Patients, families and carers can also self-refer by calling our number or emailing us.
The service is available Monday to Friday 9:00am -5:00pm excluding public holidays.
If you would like to learn more about our service, please get in touch to discuss your request.
