How to enable notifications on the NHS App

Posted on March 6th, 2025

If you are using the NHS App on a smartphone or tablet, you can choose whether to allow notifications from the NHS App so that you do not miss any important messages. Notifications may include information about new features and important health information updates.

To make your choice:

  1. Log in to the NHS
  2. Go to More.
  3. Select Account and settings.
  4. Then select Manage notifications.
  5. Turn on or off the Allow notifications

The toggle is green when notifications are on. You can turn notifications on or off at any time.

If you use the NHS App on multiple devices, you will need to allow notifications on each device.
